Conductor

Paul discovered a love for conducting from a young age working with choirs and later at the University of Nottingham where he conducted a number of student ensembles. Since then, Paul has conducted a number of bands and orchestras. Paul is currently working with a number of ensembles and is able to provide cover for rehearsals and is open to new conducting enquiries.

Conducting

  • Having played with the Nottinghamshire Police Band in the past, Paul is proud to have taken up the baton of this wind band in January 2025 and looks forward to working with these musicians in the years to come, continuing to provide performances in the Nottinghamshire area.

  • Paul is currently deputising for the Sleaford Concert Band as conductor until April 2025.

  • During his time at the University of Nottingham, Paul was Assistant Conductor for the University Philharmonia Orchestra under Michael Coleby, Assistant Conductor for the University Wind Orchestra under Gareth Widdowson, as well as being conductor for the Concert Band, Brass Band, String Ensemble and Trombone Ensemble in the Blowsoc and Music Student Societies.

  • Paul is currently the Assistant Musical Director of Melismata under Kieran Seymour and previously the founder of the choir, Philip Robinson.

  • Paul was the Musical Director and arranger of the acapella vocal group Voxicology

  • Paul has been the musical director for a number of shows having worked closely with many societies and invited to conduct shows with a number of amateur societies in the East Midlands including:
